Easy Data Input
In addition to manual entry of individual samples using the intuitive user interface, Samples lets you easily import sample data from existing records in Excel spreadsheet or text file format. Our Import Wizard ensures your imported data is compatible, meaning adding legacy data couldn’t be simpler. You can scan in samples quickly and easily using Ziath’s DataPaq™ barcode readers, and efficiently register any changes to your 2D storage racks and boxes.
Custom Descriptors
Samples’ customisable Tracking Tags and Sample Types allow you to associate fully-searchable data with your samples. Create an unlimited number of Tracking Tags to describe your samples using a variety of descriptor formats including free text, quantities, dates and even links to documents such as safety or regulatory datasheets. Our Sample Types labelling feature allows differentiation between, for example, samples in multiple laboratories, and each Sample Type can have its own set of Tracking Tags.
Powerful Searching
Samples lets you easily switch between viewing graphical displays of container layouts or a list of all containers and samples. Our multi-parameter search tool allows you to combine search terms to locate specific samples using Tracking Tags and Sample Type entries, keywords, location or date records. You can even save regularly-used searches and customise them for future use. And with our archive function, you will never lose access to historical data, even when a container has been permanently removed from storage.
