Regional Sales Manager – Northern West Coast USA

Ziath LLC is based in San Diego, California. We are a branch of Ziath Ltd located in Cambridge, UK.. We are looking for a motivated and experienced sales professional to be based from a home office local to the Bay Area. The role is primarily to create direct sales opportunities in all regions West of the Mississippi. Southern California will initially be the responsibility of the General Manager, but the candidate will be expected to cover this area as and when required by the needs of the business.

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and hit sales goals
  • Build rapport and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales revenue and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Provide support and commercial responses to incoming inquiries
  • Represent Ziath with a comprehensive understanding of our products
  • Attend tradeshows and plan sales trips to visit customer sites
  • Provide online and on-site demonstrations of our products
  • Management of locally held demonstration stock and associated equipment
  • Update and maintain customer records, quotations database and prospect lists
  • Reports to the General Manager USA

 

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree, preferably science major
  • Must have 1-2 years successful sales experience, preferably in a smaller organization (but larger will be considered)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter able to work and manage time & resources with minimal direction from Management
  • Ability to travel widely across the Region, including by air/train/car
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Computer literate
  • Familiar with using digital marketing channels to generate own prospects
  • Able to develop an essentially “cold” territory
  • Must have a proven track record in closing small instrument and consumable sales (life-science capital and noncapital equipment sales)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of database products an advantage
  • Able to work to deadlines when required
  • US Citizen
  • Must have Passport
